Two wheels good trip. Four wheels bad trip.

Meet the Guzzisti at Verdens Ende (June 2008)

The Guzzi Spring Rally at Verdens Ende in Vestfold county in June 2008 also marked the 25th Anniversary for Norsk Moto Guzzi Klubb. I was in the organizing committee, and boy is it fun arranging parties for other Guzzi-heads!

Unfortuntaly didn't we bring proper cameras by ourselves to the rally, so this time you need to visit Flemming Sørdal's website for a comprehensive selection of moody pictures from the rally.

The weather was stunning the whole weekend. It was the first weekend in June, and the venue was Verdens Ende ("Edge of the World") Camping, not far from Tønsberg south of Oslo. More than 160 bikes and approximately 200 people is a record for the Norsk Moto Guzzi Klubb. The numbers may seems small, but it's a significant one in a country where the Big Four plus BMW seems to be everywhere. We had guests from the Nordic countries plus Germany, France, The Netherlands and a couple of more.

The Verdens Ende is a beautiful place, as Flemming's pictures will show you.

Early Saturday morning on my way to kitchen duty I spotted a Stelvio and a Griso put on display by a local dealer. No riding - only looking and sitting.

An extremely rare bird on these shores: A Ghezzi & Brian Furia. G&B is an Italian based bike styling company who base their bikes around the Guzzi engines. They are the ones responsible for the styling of the beautiful Moto Guzzi MGS-01 Corsa.
