Minutes of a Motorcycle Addict

My buddy Alf and I went to visit the gang of Tønsberg MCC at their rally the weekend of 7-9 May 2010.

Tønsberg MCC is one of the old clubs that seems to have been around forever. They're a great band of riders who each year invite riders to their club house to have a party. We camp in the club house garden, and this is a party without whizz, bang and bling-bling. We were not many, perhaps around 100 people, but the partying was still pretty cool.

Alf had come all the way from Averøy MCC some 600-700 km's to the northwest just to join me to Tønsberg. We had originally planed for the Telehiven Rally near the town of Ålesund in Sunnmøre, not far from where Alf lives. But the Ålesund MCC organisers had nobody to do the organizing so instead we opted for Tønsberg.

Tønsberg is not far from where I live - unaccustomably close, actually. I usually rider far and wide to get to the rallies, but here I was just an hour or so from my home.

A fine happening, though, especially since Alf and I got company from two buddies from Mobile Dicks MCC, Jørn and Gunnar, who arrived Saturday. Pål from Tigern MCC brought his guitar and we had a veritable jam session into the night. Great fun!

More pics will come when I find the cable for my camera (..), alas there is no video from this rally as my son needed to borrow my cam that weekend. But I'm sure the pics will tell the tale just as well.
